Thank you so much for teaching me and letting me follow you around all weekend. Before coming to Mercy, I was beginning to question my future in nursing - which is scary considering I'm a senior. My motivation had dropped considerably, and I wasn't getting anything out of lecture or clinical anymore. I was literally just going through the motions. I couldn't stand being around my peers who live and breathe nursing when I was so checked out.
Coming to Mercy opened my eyes to what nursing really means, and why I am meant to be a nurse. I want to be a nurse for the coworkers who get along so well and love working with one another, for nurses and physicians who work as a a team and respect each other, to be a nurse who genuinely cares for her patients. You were a wonderful preceptor and nurse, and I hope to one day follow in your footsteps. I wish you the best of luck in pursuing your nurse practitioner degree.
Thank you again for helping me realize what nursing really means and making me excited for my future once again.
