My labor and delivery experience with Jessica Hurst is something that I will forever be grateful for. lf I could, I would recommend her to each and every one of my friends, family members, and members of my community without any hesitation. From the moment she walked into my room and introduced herself, she pulled up a chair right next to my bed and spent a few minutes asking about myself, my preferences regarding my birth plan, and any other concerns/questions that I had. I have never experienced a nurse get down to my level and really connect with me the way she did. As my labor progressed, she was there for me not only for my physical interventions but I felt that she cared for me as a whole. She ensured to make me and my baby feel safe, educated my husband and I, and provided so much compassion in her care. When other members of the healthcare team were in the room, such as the anesthesiologist to give me an epidural, she truly advocated for me ensuring I felt comfortable and safe. This hospital experience was by far my best hospital experience that I have ever had because of Jessica. I really, really hope she gets the recognition she deserves! I was a nursing student at the time when I received care from Jessica, and now as a new grad labor and delivery nurse myself, I hope to provide the same exact compassionate care to other laboring women and families in the community. Thank you Jessica for all of your hard work, compassion, and for advocating for me (I have never had anyone advocate for me the way you did)! You allowed for an amazing hospital experience!
