I was inpatient and experiencing trauma due to exhaustion and overheating. She utilized her training to try a multitude of solutions to get me back to feeling well and being functional. She tried everything, including ice packs, diagnostic equipment, deep breathing techniques, and medication to bring my temperature down and stop multiple full-blown panic attacks. She not only did her job in that regard, but she also sat with me and chatted softly with me until she could be sure my anxiety and symptoms were gone. A nurse who cares is getting harder to find every day now, and this is why I appreciate Jessica. She takes responsibility for her entire "island," as she eloquently put it, and she is a major asset to Northwestern Medicine. I am massively grateful for her graceful approach to nursing. Thank you!
