My husband received a left ventricular assist device. Jessica was our first contact and trained me on driveline care. She was thorough, patient, funny and kind, and over-the-top enthusiastic but also very honest about the process. During a weekly assessment call, it was Jessica's gut feeling that brought us back to the hospital where a leaky valve was discovered. Surgery followed with complications and he passed.
