In February, the Richland Springs team discovered that one of our patients' father had died unexpectedly over the weekend. The funeral was scheduled for the next day. Jessica Zearfoss and another nurse offered to take him. There were several issues; 1. He is committed, and 2. He was scheduled for ECT the next morning, and 3. The funeral was an hour and a half away. Jessica made the many complicated efforts to reach out and make the impossible happen. She came in on her day off and accompanied the patient back and forth from the funeral. I am forever grateful for her compassion to care and provide quality service to her patients.
