From the moment I arrived here, Jessika was attentive, kind, thorough and fun to have around. She helped talk me through my concerns through the night shift by not only listening to me, but by helping me understand everything that was happening. I never felt there was a question I could not ask her and never felt afraid of looking ignorant. She made me laugh and smile during a less cheerful moment in my life and made me, briefly, consider not leaving.

Jessika was my night nurse upon admission to the floor. I came in scared and afraid and wasn’t sure what the outcome was going to be on my health. Jessika was funny, kind, caring, and compassionate from the moment I was brought up from the ED. During the night, I continued to have nausea and a headache. She was proactive in getting an order from the ED MD for me to have medications as needed. I was having a hard time sleeping due to the temperature in the room, and she was able to adjust it and even brought me ice packs to cool off! Each night that Jessika came back, she was still the same cheerful, kind, caring nurse that she was the night before. She was encouraging every night and was so proud to see the progress and my body responding to the medications. She was transparent when test results came in and gave a great bedside report to the morning RN. Jess, I appreciate all that you did for me and my husband when I was being admitted. I know there was a moment of tears and I appreciate how you respected us and kept communication going. You are a gem of a nurse, and I am so thankful that I was under your care!!! You are a true asset to SJH!! THANK YOU!!!
