Joining the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in 2017 as an Enlisted Personnel, Ensign Caganda demonstrated persistent dedication during critical assignments, which enabled him to qualify for a Nurse Officer position in the Philippine Coast Guard. He subsequently served in quarantine facilities during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his current role as Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel Management at the Headquarters Coast Guard Nursing Service he continues to exemplify leadership and compassion.
