Jhenevie strikes a balance in holding them accountable while inspiring them to be their best.
Jhenevie Oca has been a stellar student academically and has shared her knowledge and passion for the profession of nursing with her peers. Jhenevie currently serves as Co-President of Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society, Vice President of Student Nurses’ Association, and Chairperson of the Nursing Peer Mentoring Program where she was vital in its planning and inaugural launch this Fall. Her knowledge base and passion for the profession and advocacy for student success are well-respected among her peers.
Jhenevie is also a Peer Tutor/Guided Study Group leader. Students reach out to her specifically to Jhenevie for guidance in their courses, and for her steadfast support, encouragement to be resilient, and to use their resources. She strikes a balance in holding them accountable while inspiring them to be their best. Her teachers feel Jhenevie’s holistic approach to caring for her peers and her patient-centered care renders a human connection that is unique and extraordinary in making a difference.
She personally serves her community as a Bible teacher volunteer. Besides launching the mentoring program, her other services hours were contributed to Oktoberfest and Young Hearts for Life.
