Jhimver understood the situation well and didn't think twice to extend his helping hand.
Amidst the global pandemic scare rise people who are brave enough to fulfill their calling. They are called "Nurses". But despite of all these uncertainties, one person took a bold decision to make a difference. He is very flexible, works under pressure, with good nursing care and good rapport with his colleagues, patients, and their relatives. He has good analysis and critical thinking and is always willing to help. I am aware that everybody could possibly do the same thing but what he did was remarkable.
We had 6 staff on quarantine, and it greatly affected our staffing. On that day, Jhimver was on a day shift. It was his 4th-day shift; we were struggling to look for staff willing to come for the night shift. At this point no one was able to come, perhaps they were already exhausted. But Jhimver, out of his passion and dedication with genuine concern for the villa, volunteered to work a 24-hour shift. He was more than willing to leave his comfort zone just to be of help to the patients. He understood the situation well and didn't think twice to extend his helping hand.
At first, we didn't even confirm it yet, we tried every possible solution but to no avail. He did his 24-hour shift and we tried to do other things for him to compensate but surprisingly, no matter how tired he may have been, he still managed to have outstanding performance both at the bedside and in the special assignment allocated to him. If every single nurse works this selflessly with tons of care and loads of compassion, I believe that we can make this world a safer place to live. As the saying goes "People will not care how much you know until they know how much you care."
