The rooms are a tight fit, and he helped get the recliner in there and brought a pillow and blanket for me as well.
We were directly admitted to the AU from BSH. My daughter had been vomiting for hours and had severe stomach pain. Initial scans didn't show anything with her appendix, but with her slight fever and pain, they wanted her to be in the observation unit overnight to make sure it didn't worsen. Jhoenas was our nurse when we arrived and was very attentive, explaining what he was doing, who would be coming in, and when. One of the medications ordered needed to be drank and he gave clear instructions on how to split up drinking it for the best results. There were questions that I had after we had seen the doctor, and he sent a message asking for someone to come and speak to me some more regarding those questions. He made me, as the patient's mom, feel heard. He also found a recliner for me, so I could stay the night with her. The rooms are a tight fit, and he helped get the recliner in there and brought a pillow and blanket for me as well. You could tell that he really cared about his job. He spoke highly of his leadership team and explained why he liked working in an observation unit. He made a time that could have been scary not seem so bad.
