Jie has been very caring and supportive to me and other patients/Vets. She has taken extra time to speak with me when I was struggling with my trauma experiences and my physical disabilities. She is very involved in patient care, being extra vigilant and aware of all my medication changes. She has advocated for my (and other) Vets’ best interests without regard to our different backgrounds, or if it was extra effort for her to do so. She always has a kind word, a smile, a fist bump, or a pat on the back. Her positive attitude and words of encouragement help provide a wonderful healing environment. She works very hard, and other staff are always happy she is around. Her demeanor is infectious, and a few minutes in her presence can turn a day of stress and pain into a day of laughter and recovery. Jie gladly devotes her time and effort to maintaining a peaceful and recuperative atmosphere on the unit. Even on the worst days, her efforts are felt throughout the unit by both staff and patients.
