She was so attentive and kind and helpful and comforting. I was put at ease. She made me feel I could trust her right away.
I was having a LEEP and a D&C for precancerous cells, and I was extremely anxious. She made me comfortable right away. I was in tears. She was soft spoken and sat with me and said I was not alone, and anything she and they could do to make this a pleasant experience, she would. I explained about my 2 recent cataract surgeries and what happened with the IVs, and then how I had one put out, and how I woke up nauseated, and how I was already feeling, and she was intentional in her listening and making notes and making sure I would not have those same issues. She was making sure the anesthesiologist knew and she said she would only try once with an IV and then get someone else. She was amazing. She said she would be sure I had a medication to relax me. She was so attentive and kind and helpful and comforting. I was put at ease. She made me feel I could trust her right away. That is important. I feel nurses are so critical to a patient's care. They know everything that’s going on. She did. She went above and beyond. My before care and my post op. She held my hand when needed and was reassuring. I was nauseous after, and she was right on top of it. This is normal for me, and she already knew this. She didn’t really leave my side. I had a headache. She was on top of that. I give her a lot of accolades. I totally nominate her for the DAISY Award. She’s the best nurse I have had. I had two other surgeries in the last two months. She again went above and beyond. She obviously loves her job, and her patients are her first concern, and the quality of care and her calming presence are something you just have. I appreciate how she sees this. I truly appreciate Jill.
