We had a patient whose son had a heart transplant and unfortunately ended up passing away the day before this patient was admitted to the hospital. Jill worked diligently to figure out when the funeral was and inquired about the inpatient leave of absence, which unfortunately the patient was not medically stable enough to do. However, Jill knew we sometimes had an iPad to set up Skype for these types of situations and was able to get this into place the day prior to the funeral so that the patient could still attend his son's funeral via Skype. The compassion Jill showed this patient and shows all of her patients is amazing.
