Jill Freitas, RN is an outstanding nurse. She cares for each patient and family member as they are her one and only-with compassion, warmth, honesty, respect and excellence every visit.
One particular family specifically went out of their way to let me, as Jill’s manager, and Jill know how wonderful she is! The family spent two days in our infusion center. The patient had been to numerous hospitals and other infusion centers prior to walking through our doors. Jill made the family and patient feel at home and decreased their anxieties of yet another “new nurse and new hospital” by taking her time to explain everything and listen to their history and just spent time getting to know them. This family had a wonderful two days with us because of Jill and her wonderful bedside manner, warmth and clinical expertise. Jill is excellent with IV starts. She takes her time, is honest with the patient and does everything she can to make it easier for the patient. This expertise comforted this particular patient as he had been through several difficult IV attempts in the past. Jill displays amazing and above beyond accountability-not only to her patients, but to staff and providers as well. When this patient left after one day, the patient asked Jill, “Will you be here tomorrow?” Jill told him she would be the patient was so relieved and grateful. I never had any doubt that no matter what, Jill would be there for that patient the next day.

Family note to Jill:
Our son spent 2 days under your care in the Infusion Center. Thank you for the outstanding care. You were never too busy to answer our questions, made our son feel comfortable and involved in his care. He has been to several hospitals and had numerous nurses over the last 10 years. You are a stand out!!!
