Jill Friesen exemplifies incredible compassion, empathy, and care for her patients. On one day she alerted management of a critical patient which I believe truly saved this patient's life. During an MTP and a 4-hour code, Jill remained by the patient's side. This was not Jill's patient and she was in an unfamiliar department, yet she remained with the patient as her support and advocate. Jill used her exceptional nursing knowledge and experience to care for this patient in an extremely emergent situation. Above all, Jill remained calm and ensured the patient and husband felt safe any way she could. Jill was truly a pillar of strength that night. I am beyond grateful to get to work with such an amazing nurse. She is an inspiration and epitomizes all a nurse should be. Thank you, Jill!
