My 5-year-old son fell off a bleacher at his big brother’s baseball game. He sustained a compound dislocation of his elbow that ruptured his brachial artery. When I yelled for 911, Jill and Y (who were watching their own sons play baseball) answered the call. They placed a tourniquet and triaged him while waiting for the ambulance. My son was even airlifted from the local hospital in Mattoon to Springfield, where he underwent a 5 ½ hour surgery. Jill and Y saved A’s life that day – there is no way I can ever truly thank them for stepping up. Due to their quick thinking, life-saving actions, and their selflessness, A is not only alive, but the surgeons were able to save his arm. Jill and Y are amazing, kind, compassionate professionals, even off the clock. I can only imagine how amazing they are on the clock. You are lucky to have them as your employees, and I am lucky to have them as A’s Angels!
