Some people come to work to make money. But in my eyes, my nurse, Jill Monte, comes to work to heal people, to make a difference, to solve problems and to make patients' days more pleasant.
I was a patient at St. Charles for a short time and dealing with a traumatic situation all by myself. I was hurting, scared, disoriented and unsure. But Jill handled everything. She was a good problem solver and finished every task she started. She was also a good listener. When I complained about hurting, about my situation with my injury, and about being alone, Jill stayed by me, consoled me. She stayed in my room a little longer and explained things so I understood them better. I knew she cared about me having the best day possible.
And little by little, I felt better.
I would say that Jill is an exceptional nurse, a true professional. But she is also more than an exceptional nurse. She is an extraordinary human being. I hope our paths cross again.

Jill is an amazing coworker and nurse. You can always ask Jill for help and she will stop what she is doing to help right away. She makes sure that no one is struggling, even if she may be. Not only is her bubbly personality contagious, she makes you feel like she really cares about you and does the same for her patients.
