I brought my foster baby into the ER. I had several great caregivers but our nurse, Jill, stood out. The day had been very long and it turned out we were to be admitted. She asked if I needed a drink or anything. I ask about ice and Diet Coke and she said unfortunately not. I didn't mind I went back to my water. In a little bit, she returned with a Diet Coke and a Hershey bar. She had purchased it with her money from the vending machine. She said, "You deserve a Diet Coke after being in this room for 9 hours." I had lost track of my day and didn't realize it had taken that long. Jill went above and beyond to help me and to be kind. She truly went above her required duties for me. I am so grateful.
