What truly sets Jill apart is her outstanding communication skills.
I am excited to nominate Jill for the DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional dedication and transformative contributions to the North Little Rock Community Living Center (CLC). As a certified wound care nurse, she goes above and beyond, consistently exceeding expectations. Jill not only demonstrates unwavering commitment by seeing patients beyond the required frequency, but she also plays a pivotal role in elevating our wound care program. Her tireless efforts have transformed a lackluster CLC program into a robust and comprehensive initiative, showcasing her innovative approach and dedication to excellence.

What truly sets Jill apart is her outstanding communication skills. She engages with patients and colleagues with empathy and clarity, fostering a positive and collaborative environment within the CLC. Her ability to convey complex wound care concepts in an understandable manner has significantly contributed to the success of our program. Most notably, thanks to Jill's leadership, our CLC has achieved an impressive milestone of almost 18 months without a hospital-acquired pressure injury. This remarkable achievement is a testament to her expertise, diligence, and the high standards she upholds in patient care.

One remarkable instance that highlights Jill's commitment involves a veteran who required intricate lymphedema management, wound vac therapy, and other modalities that tested Jill's creative ability. Jill not only implemented these treatments with precision but also established a profound connection with her patients. Her patient relationship interactions were marked with empathy, active listening, and a genuine concern for the veteran's well-being. Through Jill's tireless efforts, this patient experienced a notable improvement in their condition. Her expertise in wound care, coupled with the personalized attention she provided, played a crucial role in the patient's journey to recovery. This veteran was admitted to the CLC for wound care, thanks to Jill's comprehensive care approach, and was confidently transitioned home, a testament to the effectiveness of her interventions. This veteran was discharged with new skills, understanding, and confidence in providing self-care for his continued wound healing.

In summary, Jill embodies the qualities of an exemplary nurse, and her impact on our CLC has been nothing short of transformative. She continues to inspire and elevate the standard of care in our healthcare community.
