Jillian Pizzi BSN, RN is the epitome of a leader and great boss. Jillian hired me as a new nurse, and although I had a preceptor, Jillian made sure I was comfortable and tried to answer each and every question. As a new graduate, she encouraged me to get my bachelor's degree and served as a motivator daily when I wanted to quit. She found ways to balance my schedule while balancing school, work, and life. She became a mentor to me and when life got hard, she welcomed me in her office and let me cry, talk and express my concerns. I've worked for many managers, but none of them pushed or believed in me like Jill. She makes sure the whole floor is comfortable to come to her if there is an issue. She encourages us and makes sure to ask us about life outside of work. I've only been here a few years, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else or work for any other manager. Jillian is a great human being and an even better manager. The way she runs the floor is admirable. She's definitely a great asset to this hospital. We love her on 2 South.
