November 2012 Honoree
jim kane, RN
When someone who keeps strict control on their health issues has to go to the Emergency Room, it tends to become an emotional, sometimes frustrating experience especially if that someone has DKA. Thankfully, for this patient and her husband, an extraordinary nurse, Jim Kane, became her advocate.
"He went out of his way to make sure I felt at ease with my time in the ED, and also helped me come to terms with my eventual admission to Saint Agnes. Jim was the ultimate patient advocate, so capable and competent in his nursing skills. He is truly an asset to the nursing profession!"

Thank you, Jim, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
