Jim Nelson, RN was nominated by the patient's family. His compassion for his patients showed when he was helping the patient's family. The care that was given by Jim was over the top "excellent".
If we could paint a picture of how a perfect nurse would be, it would be Jim Nelson. He went out of his way to insure our family's comfort and he provided us with all the information we needed. When we didn't understand something, he was there and took the extra time to explain it in a way that the family could understand. He stayed with our family member (his patient) during his entire stay. He walked with our family when our family member was transported to Hospice. Jim went above and beyond and general concern for the entire family. He made a tough and tragic time a little easier. You could tell he really loves what he does.

Jim makes a positive difference in the lives of his patients and families with his exceptional nursing care. He listens to them, answers their questions, and is very supportive. Jim is a strong advocate of clinical excellence. I am proud to have him on our team.
