Jim was nominated by a patient he cared for, who said that Jim's "great care, dedication, compassion and Christianly love for his job" made a lasting impact.
The patient spent three weeks at St. Clare Hospital earlier this year. He recalls feeling hopeless and believing that he may not ever improve or even die from his complications. That all changed, though, when he met Jim.
The patient wrote, "He truly and completely saved my life by making me feel like someone again while giving me the best care ever while in the IMCU Department. He truly treated me like family, a true friend and was a tremendous blessing to me.
