We had a critical patient arrive in our emergency department just prior to 3 AM. The unit was already quite busy and Jim, who was schedule to leave at 3 AM, immediately began to take care of this new arrival.Multiple interventions were needed on this very ill patient who then, it was decided, needed to be transferred. Jim continued caring for this patient and accompanied the patient for the ambulance transport.Jim provided excellent care to the patient and family, and his team appreciates the help he provided to both the patient and his team.
