The day my father-in-law was admitted to inpatient care from home hospice was a big step for our family. Jimi was his admitting RN and made us immediately feel comfortable. It really helped that he looks like our nephew, so he was adopted as our “K”. Jimi told me that this was his second career, he was originally a landscape designer and believes this role at Hospice is his true calling. I would agree – he now designs his patient care, not the way he wants it but individualized to the patient. He listens to understand the patient and family's wishes, always responding with compassion, patience, and understanding. No matter how unpleasant this task would appear, he approached it with respect for him and treated him as he would want to be treated. He also cared for us and answered our questions with honesty and compassion. He is a DAISY Nurse, an example of the type of associate that makes Collier such a special place. Thank you, Jimi!
