Renee has been exceedingly kind, caring and compassionate in her communications with me.
Renee is a phenomenal nurse! We welcomed her to the Otolaryngology Clinic in January of 2022. From the beginning, she has been a tremendous asset to the Laryngology service, as well as the clinic at large, and has had a sustained and positive impact since joining. She is very connected with the providers to help support patient care, always engaging patients in a compassionate manor. As one of a small number of nurses in the clinic, Renee is an invaluable co‐worker, ensuring that her colleagues are supported, and that patient care is at the heart of her efforts. Here is what one patient had to say: “I can be a trying patient for nurses. Renee has been exceedingly kind, caring and compassionate in her communications with me. She has helped me in my preparation for my upcoming July surgery. She has given me everything I asked for and everything I needed to study up for it. She has listened to me as I figured out why I was excited, anxious and just the tiniest bit nervous about it. She is also very understanding and very patient. I’m excited because it’s medical and I miss being in the medical field. I was once a records clerk / transcriptionist which I loved. I’m a little anxious perhaps due to the fact that I am coming from Ephrata, Washington and will be alone for most of my stay from check in to discharge. I feel very strongly that Renee deserves to receive The DAISY Award. Please award her with it. Thank you.” Renee’s impact to the clinic and our patients has been amazing. We are so thankful for her abilities to provide such excellent care.
