Jo Ann Allen has more than thirty-five years of experience in maternal and child health. She has extensive clinical experience. She has worked as a clinical nurse manager, staff nurse, perinatal home visiting nurse, clinic nurse and nursing case manager caring for high-risk obstetric patients.
In addition to working as a Healthy Steps Specialist for many years, Jo Ann is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She has more than 20 years of experience in promoting and supporting breastfeeding aimed at reducing breastfeeding barriers in high-risk populations.
