Joan is truly a ray of sunshine on our unit and deserves to be recognized for her outstanding care. She consistently places others before herself. Recently, when a fellow staff member had surgery, Joan delivered dinner to her house.
Joan's knowledge and expertise in hematology/oncology and her ability to educate patients is exceptional. She is the perfect resource for our patients and can explain complex diagnoses in understandable terms. She always goes the extra mile to ensure that patients and families have all the resources they need. In addition to educating patients, Joan shares her knowledge with our staff.
