She is always willing to help her coworkers, maintains a positive attitude, and is always laser-focused on patient safety.
Joan is very consistent in doing hard work. A very helpful charge nurse who can be approached anytime for help. She gets the job done consistently. She's a helpful, reliable, and good leader and role model.
A patient shared, “Joan spent quality time with me, answered my questions, was very professional and just gave me a listening ear and comforting hand when I was truly wigging out. She was so patient with me. Someone must be talking to the team about compassion and humanity every day, because they are an exceptional team. If I ever have to come back, I am glad to know there is a team and someone like Joan here to take care of me.”
Joan is the ultimate team player. She is an excellent resource to the team. She is always willing to help her coworkers, maintains a positive attitude, and is always laser-focused on patient safety. She takes an entire load of patients herself and still makes a point to look out for the entire department. She frequently checks in on her coworkers, checks on the status of all patients in the unit, and is consistently asking, “What else can I do?”
She rallies the team in a positive way, makes them feel supported, and is always proactive and solution-focused when it comes to patient safety, process improvement, and teamwork.
