Joan Sach is a highly skilled and competent nurse. She consistently conveys and demonstrates empathy with her patients and their families. Joan has been a nurse on the unit for more than 20 years. Her presence on the unit has helped patients, families and staff members. Her dedication and commitment is evident in everyday patient care, she gives her all. She advocates for her patients and anticipates their needs. I admire her ability to remain calm and think clearly under stressful situations. We work in a hectic fast-paced environment, but Joan realizes that her patients may be moving slowly, so she listens closely to what they are saying and demonstrates tremendous patience with them.
Joan is one of our most experienced chemo nurses. She empathizes with her cancer patients and their families and delivers thoughtful, appropriate and compassionate care to them. Joan understands the complexities of a cancer diagnosis and assists patients and their families with information, resources and other kinds of support. She works with consistent grace and calmness. Joan is an expert RN. She exhibits an intuitive sense of the right intervention at the right time for her patients and has that capacity to adjust her approach to meet the unique needs of her patients. She is an effective charge nurse; managing staff at all levels, with careful consideration for different personalities and backgrounds. She is approachable and professional, possesses strong communication skills in both listening and speaking. She assists new nurses and is always willing to share her expertise and help others. She promotes transparency. She is honest and works with passion and takes pride in being a nurse. We are fortunate to have her on the unit. She is an inspiration, a valuable resource and a great co-worker.
