Joan consistently advocates for her patients. One situation in particular that stands out was when her patient, who has been in ICU for several weeks after cardiac arrest, was getting restless in bed. Joan sought our PT/OT and requested assistancegetting the patient out of bed. Working with therapy, Joan was able to get the patient out of bed for the first time in weeks. The patient was less restless and agitated once up. I personally was impressed by Joan's willingness to go above and beyond and have been in many other situations as well.
