The doctors wanted me to have a cat scan. I am very claustrophobic. I was crying and upset. Joan was so understanding and called down to imaging to ask questions I had. She went out of the room for 5 minutes to give me some time. She came back in and asked me what I wanted to do. She sweetened the deal by getting a medication to calm me down and told me she would go with me. We shared tears and she said, "What do you feel like you want to do, no pressure either way." I said, "Okay, let's get it done." So, we headed down and she would stop and wipe my tears. She stayed with me until they started the procedure. As soon as they were done, she was back by my side. They were all clapping. I said, "Thank you, God. I made it. And Joan was my angel." She deserves a big badge. She worked really hard for it. She is awesome and my hero.
