I would like to share my story about my experience at LincolnHealth. -I'm an abuse survivor and asked for an all-female staff while having my endoscopy. My surgeon requested this for me. All the staff throughout the hospital were very kind and professional. One person in particular who made me feel more comfortable and less apprehensive about my procedure was my Day Surgery Nurse, Joann. She was very professional and considerate. She made me feel like I didn't need to be hypervigilant during my short stay at the hospital. From the time I entered the hospital until Joann walked me down to the front exit to my ride home, I felt safer than I have in a long time. It's greatly appreciated and won't be forgotten. It's very difficult for me to trust anybody but Joann made that a lot easier for me on that day. Joann, thanks for being such an outstanding nurse and human being. You are one of the few people who has been able to put my mind at ease and make feel more comfortable in my surroundings.
