August 2026 Honoree
Joanna Bellew, RN
When we had to bring my father-in-law in to determine if he had a UTI vs. new-onset dementia, Joanna Bellew was so amazing with us. This was a very fragile diagnosis to receive, and we as a family weren’t sure what we were going to do next. She guided us so lovingly and directed our path to the next steps. Truly went above and beyond to make sure that we were informed and understood what would be happening.
The care that was provided to my father-in-law and us as a family was exceptional! Joanna even made me a latte at 3:30 in the morning to keep me going. She worked all night diligently looking for a place for him to go, even in the midst of Friday night ER chaos. I can't say enough how much this meant to us as a family to know how cared for our parents were, but us as well.
Well done, Jo!
