Joanna is an amazing and caring person, this is my first pregnancy, I am only 20, and with no one by my side except my partner to cheer me on, Joanna made me feel safe and cared for. I was terrified, anxious, and nervous. I had so many emotions going on, I wanted to give up. I felt like I couldn’t do it, I felt terrible. Then when Joanna came into the room and introduced herself she seemed amazing and helpful. She answered all my questions and gave me good information. Then once my contractions started to kick in I felt hopeless. I was in tears and I wanted to give up. However, the moment I said “I’m scared and can't do it” Joanna stepped in and made me feel so much better, she took my hands, looked me in the eyes, and said, “YOU CAN DO IT!” The way she held my hand and looked at me gave me so much inspiration and strength but mostly faith that I can do anything and get through it. I wish I could give her an award myself. It’s honestly hard to explain how she made me feel, it meant so much to me. Especially not having your own family care or being happy for your pregnancy hurts a lot. She's a great person and there should be many more like her. Her words of encouragement and compassion are greatly meaningful to me.
