Joanna is an exceptional nurse. She is patient and a good listener. After I suffered from a painful, life-threatening infection, Joanna offered support and empathy, but she not only offered support and empathy, but she also completed steps to ensure my wellbeing. She used cold towels to bathe portions of my body to help reduce the high fever. Also, once the cold towel task was complete, she placed ice-cold towels on my forehead and the combination worked to lower the fever. This is one occasion of her dedication to her patients but there are more.

As a nurse assigned to my care Joanna has regularly checked in on me and been available for needed care. I suffered chest pain and wasn’t sure what caused it. When I mentioned it to her, she immediately consulted an on-staff doctor, retrieved an EKG machine, and ran tests. It is the prompt manner in which she responds to and handles tasks that make her a top-notch nurse. Joanna’s professionalism, compassion, and astute attention to her patients make her a very good nurse. Joanna is deserving of this DAISY Award based on her regular exceptional care of her patients. I am improving my health from the caring and compassion shown toward me during this hospital stay. Many thanks to Joanna for her attendance to my health care needs.
