Joanna Flores was exemplary in handling and, more importantly, anticipating my needs during my 22 days in the hospital. Difficult times for me: I was admitted to the hospital with Cancer, and without a family member able to fly during the hospital admittance, I needed all the emotional, mental, and physical help to power through the procedures and chemotherapy. She exhibited calmness and presence of mind in difficult situations and was really outstanding in explaining everything that I needed to know despite my condition. In very challenging situations, she manages to make it easier and lighter for me, physically and mentally, and this has tremendously helped me get through all the tests, medications, and even the daily bloodwork and routines. Her calm and composed disposition, especially in difficult moments, is her best asset. I always feel confident when she is my nurse. Her sharp, hyper-focused approach made me feel comfortable reaching out to her when she checked on me in the room. Uncomfortable times are made comfortable. Joanna has her way of making me feel comfortable through her words of encouragement, side jokes, and genuine interest in understanding what I feel. She is very smart and always finds ways to make things feel that everything is manageable. Joanna is a gem, and by how she managed things with me, she can go a very long way as an exemplary oncology nurse or head nurse. Her genuineness made the long hospital stay way more bearable in the absence of my family around.
