My grandmother was a patient at Riverbend after a car accident and Joanna was our daytime nurse. Sometimes people can be impatient with my grandma because she's older, but Joanna was warm, caring, capable and funny- just the things you hope for when needing help. My grandma can also be, well, a little sassy and impatient, but Joanna took the time to create a relationship with her and helped her understand what was happening and why. She also was a huge help to me as my grandma's caregiver. She kept me updated on what was going on and made sure I was educated and comfortable with what to do when we were discharged. Joanna coordinated many other care team members who helped grandma and made things go really smoothly for us. What could have been really stressful ended up being overall pleasant and comforting. Joanna was just so wonderful to us. Thank you!
