I had an ICD implanted in 2021. The device was so new to me, and I didn't know much about how it works. Fortunately, the nurse, Joanna helped me a lot to understand about the device. She explained carefully about it and helped me to know when to contact the office, when to go to the ER, and what to do when I go out of the state. I felt much better with her helpful assistance.

My doctor prescribed the Multaq 400mg for me. This medication is so expensive for a retiree like me. Joanna helped me to apply for a free Multaq under the Sanofi Patient Connection program. As a result of her help, the Sanofi approved my application, and I received the prescription every quarter. At the end of each quarter, Joanna always helped me to prepare the documents needed for the application in the next quarter. When the application was approved, she always informed me immediately when I could come to the office to get the medicine. 

In one year, I sent the application with wrong  information, The Sanofi Patient Connection denied my request and stopped sending the Multaq prescription. Joanna had to take a lot of her own time to send me the papers needed and contact the Sanofi Patient Connection program many times to correct the situation. And, at last, as the result of her efforts, I was approved and have received the prescription again. 

Joanna is a compassionate person. She always contacted me when needed, I really appreciate her kind help. Joanna is certainly an asset for the Cardiology dept and for her patients as well.
