Despite not knowing the situation, Jo picked everything up and took control.
I had to go into theatre which coincided with a staff rotation and Jo was working a double shift from the ABC ward to the maternity unit. Despite not knowing the situation, Jo picked everything up and took control. At the time of going into labour my partner had shingles and we were unsure whether he could be around our babies and other babies. I was keen to be at home with my partner rather than on a ward on my own without him having access to visiting hours. Jo arranged for her colleagues to explain the situation and advise me to stay in hospital for at least one night. The team sorted a separate room for myself and my husband so we could be together with our baby. Jo was there on both days and offered great support and advice. Every question we had she managed to answer and put us both at ease with our baby.
