Joanne Keefe, DNP, MPH, FNP-c, CNE

Dr Keefe is a gifted teacher and students leave her course inspired and informed about the principles of epidemiology and biostatistics. Dr. Keefe is also always a model of patience, kindness, respect, and inclusivity. She is incredibly fair and always carefully considers how best to handle difficult student situations. When the Covid-19 pandemic started and was followed by a period of intense social unrest, Dr. Keefe made several changes in the course to create a calm and safe environment to facilitate the students' well-being and create a true ‘learning sanctuary.’ Dr. Keefe is the epitome of what a nurse educator should be.
