Joanne is the embodiment of professional excellence and transformational leadership—the architect of Parkland's Shared Governance infrastructure, having empowered frontline nurses to have a meaningful voice in their practice. Her leadership during the Pathway to Excellence journey was not just about achieving a designation; it fundamentally shifted the culture to ensure every nurse at Parkland feels valued and heard.

Joanne manages strategic initiatives like the Clinical Advancement Programs and Nursing Research with a focus on "growing our own." They don't just manage programs; they mentor individuals. By incorporating evidence-based research into daily practice, she provides staff with the tools they need to be autonomous and confident in their clinical decision-making.
