Joanne has led the OR team with OR clinical expertise, patient quality and safety, staff structure, culture of safety, and recognition. She works tirelessly to ensure that the OR is highly reliable and efficient. Joanne led the new robotics program and has been key in our efforts to decrease SSI, among other huge contributions. She has a revolving door of staff who go to her for advice, listening, resources, and respite. She's never too busy to assist all those who come to her. She has the respect and admiration of all surgeons and anesthesiologists, and she continues to seek professional development opportunities, such as becoming an EBP mentor, prepping for the NEA-BC certification. She actively and intentionally exudes human-centered leadership.
