JoAnne has her patient's welfare as her top priority. She is well informed and devoted to her profession as a Registered Nurse. One day when B was having difficulty breathing JoAnne stayed well after her shift was finished to see that Beth received the needed care. When other services outside of ICU were needed and did not respond in a reasonable time JoAnne made additional contacts to expedite their presence to the room. Her judgment based on many years of experience is far, far above average. She has a good sense of humor that takes away some of the tension when one's loved one is in ICU. JoAnne's sensitivity was extended to B's husband who was kept informed of B's rapidly changing condition and she never tired of answering all of his questions. If she did not know the answer to a question she always returned in a timely manner with the answer.
She even visited with B in the Adult Medical Unit after her stay in ICU. This was extremely encouraging to B.

JoAnne's Tender Loving Care in ICU contributed to exceeding our expectation of professional care and most important it provided B with the care she needed at a very critical time.
