During the shifts we have worked together, it feels as if  Joanne and I  share patients on the floor a majority of the time. Having worked so close to Joanne for such a period of time, I have gotten to see firsthand how important she makes all of her patients feel. I have witnessed her share compassion, understanding, resilience, respect, and empathy.

I specifically remember having a very tough day, the floor was heavy, the patient load was heavy, and we were both swamped with tasks that needed to be completed. Joanne went above and beyond to not only do her work but help me out with things that I could have never done by myself. She stays as long as she has to after her shift to ensure her job is done to the best of her abilities.

Even on her worst days, she radiates happiness, joy, and passion for her job and she always has a smile on her face. I've never met anyone with such a good attitude, even in the worst situations. Joanne makes coming to work easy because, without good nurses, our floor would fall apart. The help and sincerity is incomparable. I am grateful to be surrounded by such positivity in a remarkable work environment.
