Jobe Guess, Registered Nurse

Jobe Guess works night shift and takes care of my husband, who comes to the hospital as a respite patient when I have to be out of town for business. My husband is a complex patient with a left side ischemic stroke and has seizures. He needs full care and needs to be fed.

Jobe has come to know all the subtle nuances of his cognitive state. He knows him so well that he realizes immediately when there is a change in him. I went to a business meeting and Jobe called me 3x during the night about my husband's status. By the last call he was presenting in his "normal state". I know Jobe spends time with him and is also worried about him.

Jobe understands what I'm looking for and takes the time to explain everything. He goes beyond the normal to care for my husband. He communicates everything with me, especially when I'm out of town. Jobe knows how to prioritize his care and things about how to keep him safe.

Jobe is a very special person and is an asset to this hospital. He is an amazing nurse and personifies what it is to be a nurse. He is crucial to my husband's well being. I trust his judgment and he goes the extra mile to take care of him.
