Jocelyn Gonzalez Rowe, BSN, RN

My husband came to the PCU after a three-day stay in the ICU. He had come to Banner Baywood Hospital with diabetic ketoacidosis, pneumonia, and a UTI. He was unable to speak due to what was later determined to be a possible stroke, and he had swallowing difficulties.

Jocelyn Gonzalez Rowe was his nurse for three days. She was pleasant, kind, and so sweet. Jocelyn showed great compassion to my husband and me. She communicated well and kept me in the loop. Hospitals can move slowly for inpatients, but Jocelyn went out of her way to help push things along. I felt like I had an advocate on board.

I want to recognize this young woman because she needs to know the difference she made in our situation. She really stood out to me. Bless her kind heart.
