May 2026 Honoree
Jocelyn Mishler, BSN, RN
As an anesthesiologist who works weekly in the Cath lab, I see firsthand the impact she has on both patients and on every team member. Her leadership is the steady heartbeat of that unit.
What stands out most about Jocelyn is her down-to-earth and relatable approach to leadership. Despite the high-stress environment we work in, she brings a sense of calm groundedness that puts people at ease. She makes it easy for physicians, nurses, techs, and vendors to collaborate seamlessly, and she is the kind of leader who makes you feel comfortable asking questions, voicing concerns, or simply sharing a laugh between cases.
Jocelyn has an exceptional ability to motivate her staff in a way that is genuine and human. She notices the small things, such as who's having a tough day, who needs encouragement, or who deserves recognition, and she responds with sincerity. Even when the schedule is packed, the cases are complex, or the day takes an unexpected turn. Jocelyn finds a way to keep morale high.
Her leadership in the Cath lab is something I deeply admire. She leads by example - never above the work and always balances operational demand with compassion, advocating for her team while ensuring patients receive the highest level of care.
As an anesthesiologist, I rely on strong teamwork, communication, and trust. Jocelyn fosters all of these effortlessly.
Jocelyn is not only an outstanding nurse manager, but she is the heart of the Cath lab. Her positivity and unwavering dedication make her profoundly deserving of the DAISY Award.
