Yesterday, I was notified that I was going to be discharged to the care of VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove Hospice Group. I was prepared to go home to die until Jodi found the time in her very busy schedule to sit with me and explain that I am going home to live. What a difference a day and a compassionate nurse makes in the life of a person like me, who needs self-preservation education. Jodi has brought love, laughter and the Lord so much closer to my heart, soul and mind in the last 48 hours
Out of the many outstanding nurses at Hanover Hospital, I have found few with Jodi's love of her job, her patients, joy and laughter, and most of all the thought of death to life with true spirituality as this woman somehow found the time to give me, a perfect stranger 2 days ago, a reason to believe in life again. May God bless and keep her with all my love always in sheer gratitude!
