Jodi is kind, compassionate, and confident in the work she does.
I was working on postpartum at MCD when Jodi had messaged me to bring some toys to a labor room as she was waiting for the delivery of a baby she was there to care for. The mother was not epiduralized, and the family did not speak English. They had their two-year-old daughter with them. A situation like this would be so scary for any child. I can’t imagine how scary to also not know the language of everyone in the room while her mother was screaming in pain.
When I walked into the room, Jodi was playing peek-a-boo from across the room with the toddler to distract her, and she squealed with joy when Jodi brought the toys into her room. This infant needed resuscitation by Jodi and NICU help. When a baby is in the nursery, visitors are not allowed. Jodi stood outside the door holding the toddler so both parents could be with their baby, as they had no one else with them. Jodi is kind, compassionate, and confident in the work she does.
